The growing search for aesthetic dental treatments and the advancement of dental technologies has led to the development of new techniques and the evolution of materials. Currently, indirect restorations are being referenced. Because, with the improvement of the physical and mechanical properties of ceramics and bonding systems, laminated veneers are able to ideally reproduce the balanced relationship between the biological, mechanical, functional and aesthetic parameters of natural teeth. However, its retention depends exclusively on adhesion and, in addition, different factors can also influence the survival rate of these restorations. Thus, this research aims to review the literature to understand the care that patients with ceramic veneers should have in relation to the choice of toothpaste, foods that can interfere, as well as guidelines for maintenance and longevity.
