Abstract

The aim of this study was to report a practical way of cementing indirect restoration, using the composite resin in its mass consistency, at room temperature (without preheating). The composite resin today is considered an excellent material of choice for direct restorations in posterior teeth, and can restore dental anatomy, function and aesthetics. In a way, composite resins have good longevity, the average annual failure rates are 1.8% after 5 years and 2.4% after 10 years of its confection. The direct restorative procedure is widely used because it does not require a laboratory step, consequently it becomes a much cheaper alternative compared to other techniques. This technique proved to be effective, given that the biggest challenge was the thickness of the cementation line, and could have major occlusal adjustments, which did not occur.
