Abstract

A technique called All on Four was recently proposed as a more conservative alternative, to make the rehabilitation technique feasible, avoiding more complex procedures such as grafting, decreased morbidity and treatment time. This technique consists of the insertion of four implants, the two posterior ones being tilted distally, the two anterior ones installed vertically and the loading with immediate loading. The purpose of this literature review is to highlight the advantages and disadvantages of the All on Four system in the rehabilitation of edentulous patients, evaluating and demonstrating the success rates, assessing whether this is a safe and viable technique. They were accessed at PubMed bases, using the search keys all on four, implants, prosthetic protocol. It was concluded that simultaneous maxillary and mandibular rehabilitation, with immediate prosthesis fixation, is a viable, fast and effective option for edentulous patients.
