Abstract

The treatment of edentulous patients requires oral rehabilitation, one of the treatment options being the dental implant that has made significant progress in recent years. The evolution of implamples and their high success rate, allows the immediate installation of a prosthesis on the implant, which are fixed units, united and upper and lower protocols, reducing sessions of care and surgical interventions. The objective of the present review was to analyze how it is decided to follow the approach of applying the immediate loading philosophy that is carried out to decrease the number of surgical interventions, as well as the time between the implant installation and the final prosthetic restoration, thus leaving satisfaction of the patient in the functional as well as aesthetic part.
