This is a literature review related to the use of new techniques for osseointegrated implants, with an alteration to the original protocol developed by Branemark. With advances in the field of dentistry, implants with immediate loading were used as an alternative, especially in the anterior region, simplifying the obtaining of advantages in the procedure. Given this scenario, the aim of the study is to analyze the effects of dental implants with immediate loading in the anterior region in relation to the traditional protocol. The adopted methodology stands out for a literature review, whose sample consists of eighteen scientific articles, national and international, published from 2010 to 2020, collected in SciELO, PubMed, MEDLINE and CAPES journals databases. The results show a variety of advantages in using this type of implant in the anterior region, such as reduced time, treatment costs, as well as improved aesthetics and patient comfort, in addition to reducing bone resorption and risks of tissue sequelae, concluding, therefore, by the effectiveness of the technique, provided that a strict care protocol is observed, both during the procedure and in the postoperative period.
