Abstract

Dental implants have evolved significantly when the subject is oral rehabilitation, through new surgical techniques, prosthetics and imaging exams, allowing speed, precision and less morbidity in surgical procedures. In obtaining radiographic images for diagnosis and planning, modern equipment and specific software are available, making it possible to have a prototyping for an accurate surgical guide, making rehabilitation surgery less traumatic and more predictable. This article shows the concepts of guided surgery in implant dentistry, through a clinical case report of edentulous maxilla, narrating the step-by-step procedure, using the IMPLAGUIDE system (IMPLACIL. São Paulo-SP). Noting the main advantages that are: shorter surgical time, less morbidity, predictability, ease and precision.
