The extraction of a tooth triggers a series of events that directly affect the periodontal tissues, one of the most important consequences is the bone reabsorption of the vestibular wall. When this extraction occurs in the anterior region of the maxilla, a region of noble aesthetics, the events that follow bring serious damage to the rehabilitation treatment, and concomitantly the patient's self-esteem. Immediate cosmetic implants are a rehabilitation option that can achieve highly satisfactory results in terms of aesthetics and self-esteem, as well as maintenance of adjacent periodontal tissues. This work aims to carry out a literature review on immediate implants in the aesthetic area.
