Previous open bite

Abstract

Orthodontics is a complex specialty, in which different types of malocclusions are treated, among which the anterior open bite is present, a malocclusion that is considered one of the most difficult anomalies to correct, and of greater aesthetic and functional impairment to patients. This malocclusion has several etiologies and forms of treatment, and this is the objective of this work, to present in a literature review, which is the most current studies on this anomaly, seeking to understand everything about this malocclusion.
