The balance between the structures is crucial for a harmonic appearance. With aging, this balance is lost, as changes occur in volume, shape, position and consistency among bone, muscle, fat and skin. An alternative for the non-invasive repositioning of structures is transcutaneous lifiting with non-absorbable sutures, as they simplify the surgical procedure, do not promote scars and have a low rate of complications. This technique is indicated for patients who do not wish to undergo conventional open surgery and who have a degree of ptosis. In this study, we have a case report of a 59-year-old female patient who complained of a tired appearance after undergoing a submandibular liposuction procedure, where a lifting with non-absorbable threads was suggested as an alternative less invasive technique than the conventional facelift surgery. Non-absorbable sutures are an option for repositioning structures, as they simplify the surgical procedure, leave no scars and have a low rate of complications.
